Bukele says France "could do it in a week" after the unrest there
Summary
On Sunday, October 18, President Nayib Bukele posted a message in French on X about the cost-of-living riots in France. According to El Diario de Hoy's translation, he said El Salvador overcame "in one year a problem a hundred times more serious" without the resources France has, and that France "could do it in a week". Infobae notes that Bukele did not specify which problem he meant. Outlets give different arrest figures for France, so we leave them out.
